About Me portrait

Cameron Miller

I’m a junior studying Computer Science and Engineering at The Ohio State University, specializing in Computer Networking.

I’m especially interested in cybersecurity, networking, systems, and software development, and I enjoy learning how the different layers of technology work together.

Outside of coursework, I run my own homelab, where I get hands-on experience building, deploying, and troubleshooting real systems. My lab is built around Proxmox VE and includes virtualized Linux servers, Docker containers, remote access, and self-hosted services. I’ve worked with Ubuntu Server, Docker, Portainer, Nginx Proxy Manager, Tailscale, UFW, SSH, DNS, reverse proxies, and HTTPS, while learning more about network configuration, virtualization, system administration, and security.

I’ve also been developing and hosting my own website and applications from the lab, including a Flask backend, REST API endpoints, SQLite database, authentication system, and admin dashboard. A lot of my homelab work involves troubleshooting—from networking and firewall rules to Docker communication, DNS, remote access, and service availability—which has become one of my favorite ways to learn.

I’m always looking for another project to build, break, troubleshoot, and improve.
